The 7th of November of 2025 was both a scary and beautiful night for me.

I had decided to treat my audience (and myself) to an open hearted and honest bare piano and a microphone session at The Libra Theatre Cafe in Camden Town, London. We all know that a good song can be called so if it can be showcased just with a piano or a guitar and vocals...all else is production...or is it?

It was scary because only 4 people attended, and at times the only audience were the walls of the wonderful intimate stage (40 seats capacity) and my own thoughts....if you, like me, have been in this situation before, you know how hard it can be to fill the emptiness with the love and soul you wanted to share with many.

It was beautiful because, despite all, I did not give up, my voice was breaking (hence the first long piano introduction), from both the nerves and the cold I had been dragging for a week. My first line, "I don't know how..." came out of tune and frail, but also powerful. That power carried me over for the rest of what I believe to be one of my best solo performances to date (yeah, I dare saying so!).

I hope you all can enjoy the beauty and feel the scary moments too.... takes are as they happened, no autotune, no other piano added afterwards....just the MAGIC of music, the strength of fighting for what you love, even if the room feels LONELY, FEELS ALL ALONE. but, I do know...MY LIFE SHOULD BE A CONCERT EVERYDAY....

Enjoy the rawness of this (phone!) recording.....the love and the soul. Enjoy the honesty within real music, live and in the moment. Because everything else may be a lie, even if pretty.

Love, Peace and Music...ALWAYS.

I hope all of you will enjoy this compilation, looking back at my last 10 years of published work. Those who know me have seen me create songs for decades now.....did you know that I started (consciously) writing at 12 years of age? That's a loooOoOOong time ago, not that time matters when it comes to music, I think.

Songwriting is where I feel at my most comfortable and free in music. I believe it to be the only musical skill I was born with, or rather, the skill to create. Miguel, my piano and life teacher and inspiration, taught me to use music to express myself, and I do not think he ever envisioned me writing songs, composing or arranging. His musical analysis and spontaneous lectures at his home will forever stay with me and made it possible. I don't think he also knew that the main reason I was looking up to Prince was the fact that I wanted to be self sufficient and play most of the music on my own, for it makes me feel like a child, playing with all my toys....

But, if you really know me, you'll also know that I love collaborating, and that, specially in the last 10 years, I have been lucky enough to meet amazing musicians and human beings who, for some reason, think my songs are worth being played by them. I want you all to never forget the names of Ian Salmon, Chus Gancedo, David Torrico, Joaquín Anaya, John Honk, Sonia Konate, Ashley Slater, Astrid Jones, Susie Brown, Michael Rodwell, Alex Smith, Isa Meira, Fernanda Balata, Toby Baker, Ilemí Kemonah & Migdalia Van Der Hoven, for they all feature here and make my music truly shine.

All the above musicians, as well as the countless many who have collaborated with me to date (could not include you all in the compilation this time! 😅 ....Sergio De Frutos, Marcos Sepúlveda, Luis Alberto Rodríguez, Juanjo Urbanski, Diego Tejeida, Virginia Higuera, Nik Hunt, Nik Sodiant, Cristobal Berrú) share equal writing credits on all of the songs, so, be supportive and make sure you place this album and its songs within your playlists and that you follow us all and give us as much exposure as you can. Nothing else than love and hard work is behind us: we depend on you to be heard around the world many times over.

Maybe one day my music will be heard more widely and significantly and maybe one day all of my friends featured here will also receive the full recognition and reward they so much deserve.

Till then, I want to dedicate this album, personally, to Ian Salmon, my musical brother and my rock since MAGIC. I do not know how I'd sound without you.

Love and music, always.

Luis
